This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Hampstead Movers in respect of the current financial year. Our Business and Supply Chains
Hampstead Movers provides residential and commercial moving, storage, and related logistical services. Our supply chains include suppliers of vehicles, fuel, storage facilities, packaging materials, equipment, subcontracted labour, and professional services. We recognise that modern slavery can occur in any sector and geography and we are committed to identifying, assessing, and addressing any risks that may arise.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery
Hampstead Movers has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, and child labour. We will not knowingly engage with or support any business or individual that is involved in such practices. Our commitment is communicated to our employees, contractors, and suppliers, and forms part of our broader approach to ethical conduct and human rights.
All employees and those working on our behalf are required to act in accordance with our values and policies. Any breach of our zero-tolerance stance may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract, and may also lead to reporting to appropriate authorities where required.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We recognise that the greatest risk of modern slavery for Hampstead Movers lies within our supply chains. To address this, we are implementing and continuously improving due diligence procedures for suppliers and subcontractors. These procedures include assessing modern slavery risks when we select and review suppliers and considering their policies, practices, and track record on labour standards and human rights.
Where appropriate, we conduct or commission audits of higher-risk suppliers to verify compliance with our expectations and with relevant laws and regulations. These audits may involve site visits, documentation reviews, and discussions with management and, where possible, workers. If a supplier is found to be in breach of our modern slavery requirements, we will work with them to implement corrective actions within defined timeframes or, if necessary, terminate the relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Hampstead Movers encourages employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or unethical labour practices connected with our business or supply chains. We maintain internal reporting channels that allow concerns to be raised confidentially and, where requested and practicable, anonymously.
